aircom 6 need oracle 10g and above
i used oracle 11g for aircom enterprise 6, but i cannot create database using oracle 11g.
may i downgrade my oracle to oracle 10g? or is there any solution for oracle 11g?

yah i think aircom 6 can used 91 [9.2.5.0], CMIIW
actually…Aircom 6.0 working with Oracle 9i.

i try to install aircom 6 and oracle10.2.0 in vista, just silly questions :
- which one should i install first, Aircom or Oracle?
this is what i’ve done :
- oracle installed (software only)
- copy template using aircom 9.i
- activate DBA to create database (named as ENT) but in the end always come : Invalid name file
- futhermore, if i push to ignored, the warning is : Database not open
need help pls, or should i change to S.O.S?

as i see you arae having aproblem in the oracle and enterprize v6
what i have done is this :
1- installed oracle 9i which is normally version 9.2.0.1
2- install he 9.2.07 patch of oracle to upgrade the oracle database system
3- installed ODBC driver version 9.2.0.7
4- installed aircom v6
5-createtd an empt database from oracle database configuration assistant
6-difined alitser from oracle net configuration assistant and then created a tns service.
finally i logged into the aircom administrator and created the database table spaces and defined the super user and then stareted the enterprise v6 and logged in as the super user and every thing went smoot
Finally I find out how to install patches:
follow the instructions… , this file is already exist in patches folder but it would be good to have a copy here also.

If you attempt to install this patch set in an Oracle home directory that does not contain an Oracle9i installation, Oracle Universal Installer displays a warning dialog with the following error:

patchset Oracle9i patch set 9.2.0.8.0
The Oracle Universal Installer does not allow the installation to proceed. Click OK, then click Cancel to end the installation.
The following procedure describes how to install the patch set interactively:

Log on as a member of the Administrators group to the computer on which to install Oracle components. If you are installing on a Primary Domain Controller (PDC) or a Backup Domain Controller (BDC), log on as a member of the Domain Administrators group.

Start Oracle Universal Installer release 10.1.0.5 located in the unzipped area of the patch set. For example, Oracle_patch\setup.exe.
3.On the Welcome screen, click Next. -
On the Specify File Locations screen, click Browse next to the Path field in the Source section.

Select the products.xml file from the stage directory where you unpacked the patch set files, then click Next. For example:
Oracle_patch\stage\products.xml -
In the Name field in the Destination section, select the name of the Oracle home that you want to update from the drop down list, then click Next.
7.f you are installing the patch set on an Oracle RAC cluster, click Next when the Selected Nodes screen appears.
Note:
The Selected Nodes screen lists the existing Oracle9i RAC release 2 (9.2) nodes. The first node in the list is the node from where Oracle9i RAC release 2 (9.2) was installed. You must install the patch set software from this node. If this is not the node where you are running Oracle Universal Installer, then exit Oracle Universal Installer and install the patch set software from the first node in the list of nodes. -
On the Summary screen, click Install.This screen lists all of the patches available for installation.

On the End of Installation screen, click Exit, then click Yes to exit Oracle Universal Installer.
during installation if you face with any error regarding running services , go to CPanel>Admin.Tools>Services and Stop Oracle running services and maybe RANOPT Services.

when i want to start a project in Aircom 6.0 there is an error: Your client installation is not compatible with the database.
and in meesage log:
Warning: Database core could not load schema “DIRECT” your installation may not be configured correctly
what do I have to do?
hi i have installed oracle 11g and after creating the database and installing Aircom Enterprise v 6.0, it allows me to connect smoothly but when i tried to ADD a project in Asset, it gives me the same error as shahabmc mentioned in earlier post.
" Your client installation is not compatible with the database."
Message log:

I don’t see any problem with the database as the connection/tests are successful, It also allows me to log in at DATASAFE, please help !
