Hi David, could you tell me should I calculate GDFS after I have changed firmware to TEMS and I have heard I need a license also. Are these all true?
I have upgraded my K800i firmware to TEMS, but Network is locked. At service center guys told me they can unlock it. Would it be full functional TEMS handset after that or I missed anything?
they cant unlock it
if they unlock they will flash it with normal firmware and patch it.
it’ll be a retail phone again.
you should use unlocked phone for this purpose.
your phone was operator locked,than unlocked using some patch.
now you flashed it with TEMS firmware so its locked again as the patch is working no more as it is firmware specific.
creating patch for TEMS firmware is difficult.
so at first use only unlocked retail phones for TEMS flashing.

David, if we find retailed k800i and upgrade firmware from this link below posted in this forum (http://rapidshare.com/files/129176270/k800_r2b_tems.zip) do you think it would be normal TEMS pocket? unlocked & full operational?
flashing it will change software only,
for licenses you have to write scipt to it.
there are three seperate licenses
for k790 gdfs rewrites can do the job but for k800 this methode dont work.
k800 need a licensing script to be written after flashing it to TEMS.

The root reason is that the CID 49 does not support DB2020 bypass. I used XS++3.1 to upgrade the CID to 52. Then use SETool2lite to flash. It works for me. Not yet tested connecting to TI.
