Downtill

Hi all!

Can anyone answer the question:

In the project Atoll, when creating the transmitter indicates the type of antenna and its angle of inclination. For example:

Tilt: - 4
Antenna Type: 65 deg 17 dbi 6 tilt 1800 MHz
The total angle is -10 or -2??

Or if I want to put in the sector angle of -4, it must choose the type of antenna: 65 deg 17 dbi 0 tilt 1800 MHz???

Hi mishka75,

Well if you have an Antenna Type: 65 deg 17 dbi 6 tilt 1800 MHz, it is obvious its tilt by . Check this by locking the vertical pattern of the antenna, should be 0dB attenuation at .

If now electric or mecanic downtilt is set to -4° it will result in a summary tilt of -2°. Atoll mainly uses the selected pattern and computes a new with the tuned tilt setting.

Just be be careful to make a difference between positive and negative tilt values, as in Atoll downtilt is positive.

Hi pathloss!

Thank you for the clarification.
